As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst at Citigroup, your role involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs. - Monitor and control all phases of the development process from analysis to design, construction, testing, and implementation, providing user and operational support to business users. - Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems, evaluate business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgments. - Recommend and develop security measures for successful system design and functionality post-implementation analysis. - Consult with users/clients and technology groups, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist in the installation of customer exposure systems. - Ensure essential procedures are followed, define operating standards and processes, and serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. - Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. - Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, safeguard Citigroup's reputation and assets, and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. **Qualifications:** - 8 years of relevant experience in Core Java, Java EE, PL/SQL, Microservices (lightspeed, docker, Kubernetes), Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, Unix scripting, Team City, Udeploy, Autosys. - Proficiency in Oracle, MSSQL, GitHub/Version Control Systems, Message Middleware (Kafka, MQ Series). - Knowledge of Securities Finance, Securities master, market data, Financial Markets, Trading, Middle Office, and Back Office functions. - Experience in systems analysis, programming, managing and implementing successful projects. - Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods. - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and collaborate in complex environments. - Support business issues on a need basis in distributed teams across multiple time zones.
