Control Testing

As a Control Testing at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the digital landscape and enhancing customer experiences through cutting-edge technology. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating across the bank to maintain a robust control environment by executing ad-hoc assessments and testing internal controls for design and operational effectiveness, in alignment with control policies and standards. - Developing detailed test plans and procedures to identify weaknesses in internal controls, prioritize risks, and mitigate potential issues that could disrupt bank operations or impact its reputation. - Communicating key findings and observations to relevant stakeholders, providing corrective actions to senior managers, and collaborating with other control professionals to ensure consistency in testing methodologies. - Creating a knowledge center with detailed documentation of control assessments, findings, and distribution of material to train colleagues within the bank. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: Basic/ Essential Qualifications: - Bachelors in Accountancy/ MBA/ BBA in Finance. - Chartered Accountant. - CIA/ ACCA/ CMA. Desirable skillsets/ good to have: - Understanding of audit principles. - Analytical & Critical thinking. - Verbal & Written communication skills. - Knowledge of Risk Management and Internal Controls. - Subject Matter Expertise across Priority Risk areas such as Third Party, Fraud, Change & Resilience. The purpose of your role is to partner with the bank to provide independent assurance on control processes, advise on improvements, and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal controls framework. This position will be based out of Pune, Mumbai & Noida. You will be expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborating closely with other functions/business divisions, you will lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, and ensure performance alignment.
