Control Engineer - PLC & Siemens

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify desired CONTROLLER & its related items, PLC, number of AIO/DIO,

final panel layout, electrical circuit diagrams to meet the requirement of an

automation project.

• Develop, test and deploy CNC programs tailored for SINUMERIK One

(Preferred) OR equivalents 5 axis controller like Siemens 840D / 828D.

• Configure the controller parameters and create LOGIC to achieve desired

outcomes specific to the machines operational requirements.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to 5 axis CNC controls, PLC,

electrical and other similar items while ensuring that all control system

operations adhere to safety standards and regulatory compliance. Also,

provide Online / Onsite support on electrical, controller & PLC related issues.

• Develop and interpret electrical schematics, wiring plans, BOM preparations

for the electrical & control systems. Ensure all wiring plans meet relevant

industry standards & certification, such as CE, CSA and UL. Follow

organizational guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability across all

projects.

• Development of HMI / SCADA screens & application development. Integration

of third-party items with our system using various Communication Protocols

such as RS232, TCP, CC Link, PROFINET, Ethernet I/P.

• To assist, train and guide a team of electrical technicians, PLC programmers,

Service Engineers and end application team. Manage team to achieve project

deliverables and timelines. Provide weekly updates to the Reporting Manager.

• Development and Implementation of IoT solutions in SPM machinery aligns

with the principles of Industry 4.0.

• Get in contact with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and standard

assessments. Respond to the queries received from Customer / Project

managers / Service Coordinators for progress or delays.

• Responsible for quality checks, calibration, testing, and related documentation

to ensure the machine's optimal performance.
