Contractor (Product/Application Support)

The position available is for a Customer Support Intern. The primary purpose of this role includes providing product support to customers via telephone and/or Internet (e.g., instant message, email), conducting application/infrastructure/database monitoring, assessing the nature of product or service issues, resolving support problems, maintaining a log of product issues, and conveying customer feedback to the product development staff. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, good analytical and troubleshooting skills, and be ready to work in US shifts in a 24x7 operational support environment. Experience in application/infrastructure/database monitoring would be an added advantage. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in computer science/IT or relevant work experience, or an undergraduate appearing for the last semester. Experience required is typically 0-1 year with a demonstrated competence in functional or technical troubleshooting of the assigned products. Travel requirements are minimal, and the working arrangements involve performing work in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. The candidate should be able and willing to work on shifts or to be on an after-hours rotation. This Customer Support Intern position is based in Pune.
