Content Writer and Editor

We are hiring a Content Writer for our growing news portal website. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of experience in writing SEO-optimized news content and a solid understanding of on-page SEO techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and publish daily SEO-friendly news articles (e.g., national, regional, entertainment, politics, etc.)
• Conduct keyword research and integrate SEO best practices
• Write catchy, keyword-rich headlines and meta descriptions
• Use WordPress or similar CMS for content publishing
• Collaborate with the editorial and SEO team
• Maintain content originality and accuracy
• Regularly update older articles to improve rankings

Required Skills:

• 1 to 2 years of content writing experience (preferably news or media)
• Strong command over English (Hindi understanding is a bonus)
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Hands-on experience with on-page SEO
• Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Trends, Search Console, Yoast/RankMath, etc.)
• Ability to write quickly and meet daily deadlines
• Knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms

Preferred (but not mandatory):

• Experience in journalism or blogging
• Knowledge of Google News guidelines
• Understanding of featured images, meta tags, internal linking
• Basic image editing knowledge
