As an ESG Lead at Zafin, you will be responsible for various aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives. Your role will involve preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly sustainability reports, executing the ESG strategy, conducting materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, and engaging stakeholders. You will also be involved in internal and external reporting, focusing on ESG risk reporting frameworks such as SASB, GRI, and SFDR, as well as carbon emission reporting. Your duties will include advising on and supporting the implementation of new ESG regulations, ensuring global regulatory compliance, and driving sustainability and ESG principles internally. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in climate change, environment, or sustainability, preferably with consulting firms, financial institutions, or multilateral agencies. A relevant master's or bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, or an MBA with a sustainability focus is desirable. You must possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and sustainability reporting. Technical knowledge in Climate Change, ESG, and decarbonization is essential, along with expertise in sustainability issues within the technology, banking, or financial services sectors. Strong communication skills, project management abilities, and the capacity to influence stakeholders at a leadership level are also crucial for this role.
