As a consultant in the Withum India office, you will collaborate with an integrated team of US and India-based accounting professionals, reporting to Accounting Seniors and Managers on various audit engagements. Your responsibilities will include entering and processing client accounting transactions, monitoring assigned client portals, performing compilation procedures, developing technical competency in GAAP and accounting software systems, responding to client and associate requests, adhering to budgets and deadlines, preparing client engagement correspondence, participating in CPE programs, and identifying additional client opportunities through familiarity with Withum's service offerings. Requirements for this role include a bachelor's degree in commerce or equivalent education and experience, with a preference for Chartered Accountant (CA) Inter or article ship. QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is preferred but not required at the time of interview, with 2+ years of prior bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred. Proficiency in accounting software packages such as Restaurant 365 & QuickBooks, strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, effective planning and organization skills, multitasking capabilities, working under pressure, flexibility in scheduling, professional appearance, client confidentiality, personal objectivity, and professional skepticism are also essential.
