Periodontist Responsibilities & Duties

• Diagnose and treat periodontal disease
• Perform surgical procedures such as gum grafts, crown lengthening, and dental implants
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex medical histories
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools like digital imaging and 3D modeling
• Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Provide non-surgical therapies such as scaling and root planing
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in periodontics

Periodontist Qualifications & Skills

• Board certification in periodontics
• Several years of experience in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in advanced periodontal procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with digital imaging technology
• Involvement in professional dental organizations
• Commitment to continuing education and skill development
• Knowledge of the latest research in periodontal therapies
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
• Specialized training in periodontics from an accredited program
• State licensure to practice dentistry
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Attention to detail and precision in surgical procedures
• Ability to develop and follow through with complex treatment plans
• Compassionate patient care approach
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Good understanding of dental software and imaging tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹57,100.30 - ₹184,320.28 per month
