Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

Diagnosis & Assessment:
Conduct thorough neurological exams, order and interpret imaging (MRI, CT scans) to diagnose conditions like tumors, aneurysms, spinal issues, strokes, and trauma.
Surgical Treatment:
Perform intricate operations on the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, including tumor removal, spinal fusions, aneurysm clipping, and nerve decompression.
Non-Surgical Management:
Provide medication, physical therapy referrals, or other conservative treatments for conditions not requiring surgery.
Patient & Family Care:
Consult with patients and families, explain conditions and procedures, provide emotional support, and manage post-operative recovery.
Emergency Care:
Handle acute neurological emergencies like head trauma, strokes, and ruptured aneurysms, often requiring on-call work.
Team Collaboration:
Work with neurologists, oncologists, radiologists, and therapists to create comprehensive treatment plans.
Professional Development:
Stay updated on research, techniques, and technology through conferences and study.
