Job Description

Consultant Gastroenterologist

Qualification

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care

Diagnose and treat diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology consultations.
Develop and execute individualized treatment plans for patients.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care.

Procedures

Perform upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and other gastroenterology procedures.
Interpret endoscopic findings and advise on treatment and follow-up care.
Manage emergencies related to gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, and acute liver diseases.

Patient Management

Conduct thorough examinations and maintain detailed medical records.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Ensure quality care and adherence to clinical standards.

Administrative & Team Responsibilities

Work closely with nursing staff and technicians to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
Participate in hospital committees, audits, and clinical meetings.
Support training and mentorship of junior doctors, residents, and staff.
