Consultant - Financial Reporting

You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented Consultant sought to join the Accounting and Reporting team in India within the telecom industry. With a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience, you should have a specialization in the telecommunications domain and possess a robust understanding of IFRS/Ind AS, particularly in areas such as revenue recognition and financial reporting. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting clients with accounting changes, transaction support, and finance transformation endeavors. Your key duties will include aiding clients in implementing intricate accounting standards like Ind AS 115 (Revenue), Ind AS 116 (Leases), and Ind AS 109 (Financial Instruments). Furthermore, you will be expected to provide support to telecom sector clients in addressing technical accounting matters, drafting white papers/memos, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring audit support and disclosure compliance. Additionally, your role will encompass assisting clients with IPO readiness, GAAP conversions, M&A accounting, and due diligence from an accounting standpoint. You will also contribute towards enhancing financial processes and reporting controls, particularly during system upgrades or ERP transitions. Moreover, you will be involved in conducting industry benchmarking and telecom-specific financial analyses, such as ARPU, churn, and deferred revenue calculations. Alongside this, you will be responsible for creating client deliverables like accounting opinions, MIS reports, dashboards, and status updates. Preferred qualifications for this role include being a Qualified CA/ACCA/CPA and having prior experience in Big 4/consulting firms or holding accounting/reporting roles within telecom companies. Hands-on experience with telecom clients, a solid understanding of Ind AS, IFRS, and other financial reporting frameworks, excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong analytical abilities are highly valued for this position. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is also essential.
