Your Role
As the Lead Developer for B2B/EDI integrations, your role is to act as an internal expert and leader in the EAI space. You will be providing innovative, scalable, and high-quality solutions to meet business needs from inception through design, implementation, and enhancement, with specific focus on EDI integration patterns. You will proactively and holistically lead and support both business led and internal initiatives that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions in this domain. You will also provide technical guidance to developers, both internal and with our partners, through the life cycle of these solutions. The Lead Developer will be responsible for the life cycle of design, on-time delivery, enhancement, and support of major B2B integrations across the globe. They will also contribute to strategy and architecture in the EDI space, as well as participate in leading through major transformation activities.
The EAI team is responsible for the application integrations that span across many core business functions, with a substantial amount of the domain being within commercial (ex. sales, technical services, etc.) but also extending into other functions such as manufacturing, services, business intelligence and analytics, etc. You will have a solid understanding of business goals, objective and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes in the B2B domain. The Lead Developer will contribute directly, lead, and assist with the analysis and design tasks supporting the development of B2B integration patterns to ensure delivery of high quality, solutions to meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. You will work alongside the business and their IT partners to maintain the B2B portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions to enable and drive targeted business outcomes in the this domain.
What you will be doing
Lead B2B Integrations Delivery, Analysis, and Support Activities

Leads evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of key integration solutions across a group of specific business applications or technologies in an assigned commercial domain.

Creates and delivers comprehensive integration solutions focused on detailed design principles, decision points and dependencies between business and IT.

Manages and develops the integration patterns for a with specific focus on B2B solutions, working closely with the business, cross-functional IT teams, and external partners for each project, product, or initiative.

Provide inputs to the analysis of the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation, and innovation).
B2B Portfolio and Trading Partner Relationships

Facilitates the evaluation and selection of appropriate integration patterns and delivery mechanisms, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations.

Proactively monitors for upcoming mandates and regulatory changes to ensure early engagement with the business and relevant trading partners across the region for on-time delivery of mandated adoption of changed/new standards.
Facilitates and Collaborates to Deliver Business Outcomes

Works closely with the project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle.

Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Partner with application architects within agile teams to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.

Consults with application and infrastructure development projects and products to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solutions architecture.
Responsibilities

Partner with developers, architects, designers, hardware engineers, project managers, and management teams.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to ensure successful delivery of end-to-end integration solutions.

Engage eCommerce and supply chain teams to deliver B2B and B2C solutions to global trading partners, including direct integrations, 3 rd party providers, government agencies, 3PLs, and others.

Lead and mentor others in your domain.

Root cause partner issues and provides resolution to unblock development or improve experience.

Design and thoroughly document key integration solutions and where needed to support validated change controls as well as to prepare high quality presentations to key decision makers.

Ensure overall alignment within your domain on delivery of integration solutions, providing guidance and oversight to engineers and developers.

Create actionable steps to achieve key roadmap deliverables.

Leverage re-usable and scalable integration solutions to support key capabilities and portfolios.
What you will bring

Bachelors/Master s degree in technical fields such as computer science, MIS, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
-
12+ years of overall professional IT experience.
-
10+ years of proven experience in the design, coding and implementation of B2B enabling integration solutions; Deep understanding of B2B practices, principles, and concepts is required.
-
10+ years of proven experience working with business and trading partners alike delivering B2B solutions with a variety of trading partners and from a global perspective.
-
4+ years of proven experience designing and delivering end to end B2B solutions for both EDI and non-EDI driven solutions (B2B, EDI, A2A) along with business and partner enablement.

Must have specific and demonstrable experience delivering integrations in the supply chain and OTC domains with global and regional perspective.

Specific knowledge of EDI messages leveraged to deliver warehouse and shipping integrations as well as order to cash scenarios required.

Expert experience in development of EDI/B2B to integrations leveraging various standards (X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, PEPPOL) and transactions sets.

Experience with IBM Tools (ACE, ACP, ITSX(WTX), and MQ) preferred but not required.

Provide recommendations on industry and application integration trends in analyzing and planning current and future IT needs, specifically in the areas of B2B/EDI.

Experience with service-oriented architectures, ESB, web services, and Restful services preferred.

Strong experience with holistic designs incorporating both cloud-based technologies and applications with a wide variety of application platforms, protocols, and services/interfaces.

Experience with ERP integrations a plus.

Strong understanding of relevant security and networking protocols.

Demonstrated capability to quickly adapt to and leverage new technologies, platforms, and methodologies.

Foundational understanding of the key principles of architecture designs.

Experience in a customer-facing role such as technical support, consulting, or solutions architecture.

Familiarity with information models and industry data standards such as automation and agile architecture.
