Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of data governance within a manufacturing company, with a focus on power sector projects and boilers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will establish and implement data governance policies and procedures for the corporate finance data lake. Furthermore, you will drive the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your main responsibilities will include developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the manufacturing company's finance data lake initiative on Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define data quality metrics, monitor data quality, and establish processes for data cleansing and enrichment. Serving as the subject matter expert on data governance best practices, you will provide guidance and training to stakeholders across the organization. In addition, you will continuously assess and enhance data governance processes and controls, staying updated with industry trends and evolving regulatory requirements to ensure the success of the data governance journey in its early stages. Collaboration with IT teams to design and implement data architecture solutions that support efficient data governance and data management practices will also be part of your role.
