Conservation Architect

As a Junior Architect/Conservation Architect at Sharayu More Associates, you will be responsible for the documentation, condition mapping, and assessment of heritage properties. Your role will involve preparing working drawings, tender documents, and conservation plans while overseeing ongoing execution works. It will be essential for you to visit sites, inspect and survey historic sites and buildings, and prepare detailed Inspection Reports. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and other professionals, coordinating and liaising effectively to ensure successful project outcomes. Collaboration with architects, historians, and engineers will be necessary to guarantee high-quality conservation results. Additionally, you will conduct research, write reports and proposals, and maintain documentation and records of projects and research materials. Your skills should include prior knowledge of Heritage Conservation, a strong interest in historic architecture, and knowledge of relevant legislation related to buildings and conservation. Proficiency in working with measurements, budget calculations, and technical drawings is crucial. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with good analytical abilities, attention to detail, and an eye for design are essential for this role. Organizational skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to produce clear and concise reports are also required. You should possess strong teamworking skills, good IT proficiency, and be open to travel to locations within and outside Mumbai. Knowledge of the local language (Marathi) would be advantageous. The ideal candidate for this position must hold a degree in B. Arch/ M. Arch (Conservation)/ B.E. Civil and have computer skills in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SketchUp, any 3D rendering software (Lumion/Vray/Enscape), and Photoshop.
