Computer Teacher (TGT/PGT)

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Responsibilities

  • CBSE curriculum

  • Teach computer fundamentals, MS Office, Internet usage, HTML, Python, Java, C++, networking, database management, and emerging technologies as per the class level.

  • Prepare students for practical and theory assessments, internal evaluations, and board examinations (for PGT level).

  • Maintain accurate student performance records and prepare progress reports as per school policy.

  • Ensure curriculum completion within the academic timeline and conduct regular revision and practice sessions.

2. Classroom Management & Teaching Techniques

  • Create a positive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Incorporate modern teaching methods, audio-visual aids, and computer-based learning tools.

  • Encourage creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving through project-based learning.

  • Provide extra support to students requiring academic assistance in computer studies.

3. Lab Management

  • Supervise students during practical sessions, ensuring safety and proper use of resources.

  • Coordinate with the IT department for timely maintenance, updates, and installation of necessary software.

  • Maintain records of lab inventories and practical work assessments.

4. Curriculum Planning & Assessment

  • Design periodic tests, quizzes, assignments, and practical evaluations in line with CBSE norms.

  • Develop innovative teaching aids, digital materials, and student projects.

  • Prepare and submit annual teaching plans, question papers, and evaluation reports.

  • Participate in curriculum enhancement and school development programs.

5. Professional & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with academic coordinators and other subject teachers for interdisciplinary projects.

  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, training sessions, and CBSE-mandated capacity-building programs.

  • Maintain professional ethics and adhere to school policies and standards.

  • Guide students in ICT-related competitions, exhibitions, and extracurricular technology programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / IT / BCA or equivalent.

    • B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Masters Degree in Computer Science / IT / MCA or equivalent.
