PGT English Teacher

The role demands excellence in subject knowledge, modern pedagogy, and the ability to prepare students for board examinations while nurturing their appreciation for literature and effective writing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic & Teaching Duties

  • lesson plans

  • grammar, literature, reading comprehension, and writing skills

  • Develop assignments, projects, and assessments that encourage analytical and interpretive skills.

  • CBSE Board Examinations

  • Maintain updated lesson plans, teaching records, and student evaluation reports.

2. Student Evaluation & Progress Tracking

  • formative and summative assessments

  • Evaluate answer sheets, maintain records, and prepare report cards.

  • Offer personalized guidance and remedial sessions for students who require additional support.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement.

3. Classroom Management & Environment

  • Maintain discipline and foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Encourage classroom participation through debates, discussions, and literary activities.

  • Promote creative writing, public speaking, and critical reading habits among students.

  • Manage classroom behavior with patience, fairness, and professionalism.

4. Curriculum Development & Academic Contribution

  • Maintain decorum, punctuality, and adherence to school policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate with fellow teachers to promote cross-curricular learning and integrated projects.

  • Support the schools co-curricular and extracurricular programs whenever required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Qualification:

  • English Language or Literature

  • B.Ed.

  • Additional certifications in teaching methodology, phonetics, or literature will be advantageous.

Experience:

  • 35 years of teaching experience

  • Proven record of achieving strong student results in board examinations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent command over English grammar, literature, and phonetics.

  • Strong communication and classroom presentation skills.

  • Ability to design engaging, interactive lessons for diverse learning abilities.
