Job Profile: PGT Computer Teacher

Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Computer Science / Informatics Practices
Location: Kaushik Public School, Bhaganpur-Haridwar Road, Near Roorkee, District Haridwar
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose:

To effectively deliver the Computer Science / Informatics Practices curriculum to students of Classes 11 and 12, fostering logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy. The teacher is responsible for preparing students for CBSE board examinations and developing practical programming and computational skills relevant to higher education and careers in technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and concept-driven Computer Science / IP lessons as per CBSE curriculum.
• Teach programming languages such as Python / Java / SQL / C++ (as per syllabus).
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, notes, presentations, and practical assignments.
• Conduct and supervise computer lab sessions and practical examinations.
• Evaluate student performance through projects, assignments, tests, and exams.
• Prepare students thoroughly for CBSE board examinations.
• Guide students in logical thinking, coding practices, and debugging techniques.
• Maintain discipline and a productive learning environment in classrooms and labs.
• Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, and school events.
• Communicate student progress with parents/guardians during PTMs.
• Use modern teaching tools such as smart boards, coding platforms, LMS, and digital resources.
• Stay updated with latest trends in computer science, programming, and educational technology.
• Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, IT exhibitions, tech fests, and competitions.

Qualifications:Educational:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / MCA / M.Sc. IT from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.

Certifications (Preferred):

• CTET qualified (if applicable to CBSE-affiliated institutions).
• Certifications in programming, AI, data science, or educational technology are an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level preferred.
• Fresh postgraduates with strong subject knowledge, programming skills, and good communication abilities may also be considered.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong command over Computer Science concepts and programming logic.
• Proficiency in Python, databases, algorithms, and computer fundamentals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use digital teaching tools (Google Classroom, LMS, online coding tools).
• Classroom and lab management skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and practical manner.
• Analytical thinking, mentoring ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching technology.

• Monday to Saturday

• Pay: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
