Job Title: Office Assistant

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Reports To: Office Manager / Department Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The ideal candidate should be proficient in computer applications, have working knowledge of stenography, and be capable of taking and transcribing dictations accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
  • Take dictation in shorthand and transcribe it using a computer.
  • Draft and type letters, memos, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Maintain office records, logs, and documentation in both digital and physical formats.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments; manage calendars and follow-ups.
  • Assist with data entry, basic spreadsheets, and database updates.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and emails.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Any other duties assigned by Managing Partner

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good command of stenography (shorthand) and dictation transcription.
  • Typing speed of at least 40–60 WPM.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent (additional certification in stenography or secretarial training preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar administrative or secretarial role.
  • Familiarity with office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners).
  • Knowledge of filing systems and office procedures.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with standard working hours.
  • May occasionally require extended hours or flexibility depending on workload or deadlines.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
