Job Description

Role & responsibilities

System Maintenance:
Ensure computers and equipment are working, update software, and perform routine checks.
User Support:
Provide technical assistance for hardware/software issues and guide users.
Equipment Management:
Track inventory, maintain and troubleshoot equipment (computers, printers, etc.).
Network Support:
Troubleshoot basic networking issues (Wi-Fi, printer access).
Security:
Monitor security protocols, ensuring users follow login/logout procedures.
Installation & Setup:
Install and configure software, set up new devices.
Lab Supervision:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Record Keeping:
Log issues, usage, and system updates; report problems to IT staff.
Training:
Assist users with computer skills and lab procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Skills:
Proficiency with operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux).
Basic networking and hardware troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with common software (MS Office, browsers).
Experience:
Previous IT support or computer lab experience is a plus.
