Computer Aided Design Drafter

As a Design Engineer / CAD Drafter for Electrical Switchgear at our leading manufacturing company in Sharjah, UAE, you will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D drawings for our electrical switchgear products. Your role will involve collaborating with engineering and production teams, developing new products, ensuring accuracy in production, and maintaining technical documentation. Your attention to detail, proficiency in CAD software, and knowledge of manufacturing processes will be crucial in this role. In this position, you will focus on creating detailed 2D technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications. You will also develop 3D models of switchgear components and assemblies using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Your involvement in product development, prototyping, and documentation will be essential to the success of our projects. To qualify for this role, you should hold a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in 2D and 3D CAD design. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical is required, and knowledge of sheet metal design, manufacturing processes, and electrical components is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork abilities are essential soft skills for this position. As a Design Engineer / CAD Drafter, you will work in an office-based environment with occasional visits to the factory floor. This full-time role may require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines. You will have access to CAD software, high-performance workstations, and design tools to support your work. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
