Computer Aided Design Design Engineer

You will be responsible for the following key areas: - Design and Drafting - Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks for sheet metal and other components. - Prepare fabrication drawings, BOMs, and exploded views efficiently. - Support senior engineers in managing ECNs and implementing design improvements. - Possess knowledge in welding symbols, fabrication, assembly drawings, and sheet metal using SolidWorks. - Prototyping and Testing Support - Collaborate with the manufacturing team to facilitate prototype development. - Assist in testing prototypes and meticulously documenting results. - Documentation and Communication - Maintain accurate design records to support team efforts in project execution. - Actively participate in team discussions and offer valuable inputs for design optimization. Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design and drafting, as well as FMEA and DFMA. - Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques and BOM preparation. - Basic understanding of ECNs and design iteration processes.
