Computational Biologist

As a Computational Biologist at the company, you will play a crucial role in conducting integrative analyses and developing novel computational approaches to uncover biological insights. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing computational workflows to integrate various -omics data for generating inference and hypotheses. - Implementing best practices for version control, modularization, and documentation of pipelines. - Conducting comprehensive analyses of multi-omics datasets, such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and epigenomics. - Applying advanced multivariate data analysis techniques like regression, clustering, and dimensionality reduction to reveal patterns in large datasets. - Creating high-quality visualizations for effective communication of complex datasets and analysis results. - Staying updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics tools, algorithms, and methods, especially in multi-omics and network biology. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: - A Bachelors or Masters degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field. - 3-5 years of hands-on experience in multi-omics data analysis. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis, visualization, and pipeline development. - Proven experience in analyzing and integrating multi-omics datasets. - Familiarity with biological networks like gene regulatory networks and protein-protein interaction networks. - Strong understanding of data visualization techniques and tools like ggplot2, matplotlib, seaborn, or D3.js. Preferred qualifications include basic understanding of graph and network biology, knowledge of statistics including probability distributions and hypothesis testing, and experience working with cloud platforms and containerization tools.,
