Company Secretary Trainee

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Company Secretary Trainee to join our legal and compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals pursuing a career in corporate governance and compliance. As a Company Secretary Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in corporate law, company secretarial duties, and regulatory compliance under the mentorship of experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and filing of statutory documents with regulatory authorities (e.g., Registrar of Companies, Securities Exchange Commission). - Support the company secretary in organizing and preparing board meetings, annual general meetings (AGMs), and committee meetings. - Draft and maintain minutes of board meetings and shareholder meetings, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. - Assist in the preparation of corporate governance reports and compliance documentation. - Maintain statutory registers and records, including director’s register, shareholder register, and other company records. - Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environments, advising on compliance requirements. - Help in preparing annual returns, financial filings, and other statutory obligations. - Assist with the implementation of corporate policies and internal controls. - Assist in preparing reports, legal documents, and correspondence for the senior management team.
