Community Support Specialist

As a Community Support Specialist at The Broseph Foundation, your role will involve being a point of support and contact for individuals seeking assistance. This full-time position at our office in Indiranagar, Bengaluru requires direct engagement with people in distress, following up on their cases, and ensuring they receive the necessary support, such as legal aid, counseling, rehabilitation, or community resources. Key Responsibilities: - Communicate with individuals seeking help and assess their needs. - Follow up with people after initial contact to track progress and offer further assistance. - Collaborate with volunteers, coordinators, and partner organizations to connect individuals with appropriate resources. - Maintain records of cases and ensure timely interventions. - Provide emotional support and guidance while respecting confidentiality. - Assist in outreach programs, workshops, and community engagement efforts. Qualifications: - Full proficiency in Kannada and English is mandatory. Knowledge of spoken Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi is advantageous. - Experience in community support, case management, or social work is preferred. - Strong communication and active listening skills. - Empathy and ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism. - Understanding of mental health, human rights, and legal aid is a plus. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, community-driven environment.
