Description
As a Communications Officer for TRAFFIC India division at WWF-India, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling content to raise awareness about wildlife conservation. Based in New Delhi, you will be responsible for writing and editing a variety of materials, including articles, reports, newsletters, and scientific research publications. Your role will also involve organizing press conferences, developing press releases, and responding to media queries promptly. Collaborating closely with the programme team, you will identify communication opportunities and report on them regularly. Additionally, you will oversee the development of communication materials such as identification posters, guidebooks, and online resources. Your creativity will be put to use in creating campaign materials, digital content, and short films that highlight conservation issues and programmatic updates. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Creative Writing, Journalism, or Communications, with a preference for candidates with a Master's degree in a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required, along with exceptional writing and editing skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Canva is essential, while knowledge of design software like Adobe Suite or Corel Draw is advantageous. Familiarity with AV equipment for capturing stills, recording videos, and online platforms such as WordPress CMS and social media is necessary. An innovative mindset, ability to work effectively in a team, meet deadlines, and a passion for wildlife conservation are key attributes for success in this position. Occasional travel to field locations may be required.
