Description
As a Commissioning Manager at CHINT Solar in Christchurch, New Zealand, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning phase of large-scale international solar EPC Projects. Your role will involve ensuring that all systems, including electrical, mechanical, and civil components, are installed, tested, and commissioned according to specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. You will lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful handover of projects to the client. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing detailed commissioning plans for large-scale solar projects, coordinating with design, procurement, and construction teams, planning and scheduling commissioning tasks, and conducting various tests such as factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and performance testing. Additionally, you will lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, provide training and guidance, assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure compliance with project goals. You will oversee the execution of all commissioning tests, ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols, document and report any issues or discrepancies, and coordinate the integration of all solar systems. Furthermore, you will prepare detailed commissioning reports, ensure proper documentation of the commissioning process, lead the handover process to the client, and promote a strong safety culture by adhering to health and safety regulations. As a successful candidate, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 12 years of experience in Renewables/Solar projects. Proven experience in Renewables/Solar/Wind projects, along with international exposure, would be preferred. You should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve challenges effectively.
