Commis I South Indian

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis I – South Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing authentic South Indian dishes and a strong understanding of traditional cooking methods and regional flavors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, etc.
• Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area as per food safety standards.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and food items.
• Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef in planning menus and kitchen inventory.
• Monitor food stock and place orders when necessary.
• Follow portion control guidelines and reduce food waste.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience as a South Indian cook or Commis in a reputed restaurant/hotel.
• Expertise in cooking a wide range of South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
