Commercial Operations Executive

As a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Operations Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the post-fixture operations of the owned fleet. Your role will involve close collaboration with charterers, brokers, agents, and internal teams to ensure efficient and profitable voyage execution. Key Responsibilities: - Handling post-fixture operations including voyage planning, laytime calculations, and cargo documentation. - Liaising with charterers, agents, bunker suppliers, and shipmasters to coordinate voyage instructions. - Monitoring vessel performance to ensure compliance with charter party terms. - Following up on freight invoices, demurrage/despatch claims, and cost approvals. - Maintaining voyage records and preparing voyage profitability reports. - Supporting the Commercial Manager in fixture execution and operational follow-ups. - Coordinating port clearance requirements and ensuring timely dispatch of relevant documents. - Maintaining close communication with shipboard staff to ensure voyage efficiency and issue resolution. - Tracking market developments and assisting in gathering commercial intelligence. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or post-fixture operations within a drybulk ship owner/operator environment. - Sound understanding of shipping documentation, charter parties, and voyage execution processes. - Strong coordination skills and ability to handle time-sensitive tasks under pressure. - Familiarity with voyage management systems like IMOS and proficiency in MS Excel and general business communication tools. - Capacity to work effectively in a team with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
