Comic Artist

We are seeking for a talented and passionate Comic Artist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in visual storytelling and a deep understanding of comic book art techniques. Whether you specialize in penciling, inking, coloring, or lettering, you will be an integral part of bringing our narratives to life. The comic artist will work closely with writers, editors, and other team members to produce high-quality comic books, graphic novels, or web comics that captivate readers.

Key Responsibilities

· Penciling: Create dynamic, detailed, and expressive line drawings for comic pages, ensuring clear visual storytelling and effective panel composition.

· Inking: Enhance penciled art with clean, precise lines, adding depth, contrast, and texture to the artwork.

· Coloring: Apply colors to finished inked pages, maintaining consistency, mood, and tone that complements the story.

· Lettering: Add dialogue, sound effects, and captions in a visually appealing way, ensuring readability and proper integration with the artwork.

· Storytelling: Interpret the script and bring the story to life through artwork, ensuring proper pacing, character expressions, and action flow.

· Collaboration: Work closely with writers, editors, and other team members to ensure the artwork matches the narrative vision and adheres to deadlines.

· Revisions: Accept feedback and make necessary revisions to artwork to meet editorial or project requirements.

· Meeting Deadlines: Manage time effectively to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality artwork according to project schedules.

· Style Consistency: Maintain consistency in style, tone, and artistic quality throughout the project, including character designs, settings, and action sequences.

Requirements

Experience:

· Proven experience as a comic artist, with a portfolio displaying previous comic book, graphic novel, or web comic work.

· 5+ years of experience in comic art.

Skills:

· Strong drawing and illustration skills.

· Proficiency in digital art tools (e.g., Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate) or traditional media.

· Knowledge of comic book and print production processes (layouts, paneling, and composition).

· Understanding of comic book anatomy, perspective, and visual storytelling.

· Ability to work from scripts and adapt to a variety of art styles.

· Experience in lettering, coloring and inking is a plus.

· Experience with character design, environment design or world building.

· Experience with 3D modeling or digital sculpture.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple project simultaneously.
