Job Title: Coloring Artist Educational Textbooks Location : Noida Employment Type : Full-time Reports To : Art Lead / Creative Manager Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Coloring Artist with a strong understanding of visual communication in educational content. The role involves adding purposeful, accurate, and pedagogically sound color treatments to line illustrations used in textbooks across subjects such as Science, Biology, Environmental Studies, Physics, and General Knowledge. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in digital tools and able to follow detailed style guidelines and academic accuracy requirements. Key Responsibilities Digitally color line illustrations as per subject-specific references and pre-defined visual styles. Interpret educational content accurately ensuring that color choices aid concept clarity (e.g., highlighting parts of a cell, differentiating organs, identifying correct safety equipment, etc.). Follow color palettes and visual treatment instructions from Art Leads or Subject Experts. Maintain consistency in color tone, stroke style, and layer management across units/chapters. Incorporate feedback from QC reviewers, subject experts, or clients within stipulated correction rounds. Deliver final output files in organized, layered formats as per internal workflow. Required Skills & Experience 2–4 years of experience in digital coloring for educational publishing or academic content. Excellent command over Adobe Photoshop (essential); experience with Illustrator or Corel is a plus. Ability to apply color coding principles (e.g., functional coloring in science or geography diagrams). Strong attention to accuracy and educational intent in coloring – not just aesthetics. Familiarity with school-level textbook art , including lab equipment, biological iagrams, environment scenes, etc. Ability to manage deadlines across multiple books/chapters. Preferred Qualifications Degree/Diploma in Fine Arts, Animation, Scientific Illustration, or Design. Experience working with educational publishers or content studios. Exposure to school and higher education books.
