Coating Inspector

As a Coating Inspector at L&T in Surat, Gujarat, your primary responsibility will be related to painting activities. This includes surface preparation techniques such as dry abrasive blasting, hand & power tool cleaning, and pickling & passivation. You will work with various coating systems such as liquid epoxy coating, thermal sprayed alu, internal lining, and zinc-based coating. Your role will involve applying paint using methods like airless/conventional spraying, stripe coating, brush & roller application, etc. Additionally, you will be conducting tests on prepared surfaces to check for surface contamination, anchor profile, moisture, oil & grease, coating thickness, adhesion, and compressed air quality. As a Coating Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting coating faults such as blisters, blooming, chalking, cracking, sagging, run, tear, dry spray, flaking, holidays, lifting, orange peel, pinholes, wrinkling, and opacity defects. You will also work with equipment and piping painting/coating, utilizing tools like dry film thickness electromagnetic gauge, wet film thickness gauge, adhesion test dolly pull-off gauge, tape pulling, chemical resistance test, and profile height testing. To qualify for this position, you should have a DME/B.E qualification with 8 to 12 years of experience. Certification as NACE Level II, Bgas Gr I + SA experience is preferable.
