CNC Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day CNC machine operations for gemstone cutting, faceting, drilling, and shaping.
• Ensure optimal utilization of CNC machines, tools, and manpower.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per order requirements.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, CRM, and Sales teams to align manufacturing output with customer orders.
• Monitor production targets, cycle time, machine downtime, and output quality.
• Implement corrective actions to meet delivery timelines.
• Ensure gemstones are manufactured as per defined specifications, dimensions, and quality parameters.
• Work closely with the Quality Control team to minimize rejection, breakage, and rework.
• Maintain consistency in cut, finish, symmetry, and tolerance levels.
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and tooling of CNC machines.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the Maintenance team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost optimization.
• Lead, supervise, and train CNC operators, programmers, and technicians.
• Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure discipline on the shop floor.
• Conduct skill enhancement and safety training for CNC staff.
• Review and approve CNC programs related to gemstone cutting and shaping.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling problems, and process deviations.
• Support implementation of new designs, cuts, and custom gemstone requirements.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and machine operating procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation related to machine logs, production reports, and quality records.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and industry best practices.
• Prepare daily production reports, efficiency reports, and rejection analysis.
• Coordinate with Procurement for tools, spares, and consumables.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on CNC performance and capacity planning.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in CNC operations, preferably in gemstones, jewellery, or precision manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and gemstone cutting processes.
• Leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
