CNC Setter

Role Overview: You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to perform various machining operations on metal workpieces. Your role will involve loading raw materials, selecting cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, interpreting engineering drawings, performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting machine issues, and maintaining production records. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and operate CNC turning machines for turning, facing, threading, and grooving operations on metal workpieces. - Load raw materials, select cutting tools, and adjust machine settings for proper operation and quality finished parts. - Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances. - Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC turning machines to ensure optimal performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions, tooling issues, and quality problems to minimize downtime. - Maintain accurate production records, including job setup sheets, tooling logs, and quality inspection reports. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a CNC Turning Machine Operator. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions for setting up and operating CNC turning machines. - Excellent attention to detail, quality orientation, and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and precision.
