CNC Setter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Setter with 5 years of hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing machines for production, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining high-quality standards in machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC machines (lathe, milling, turning, etc.) according to job specifications and engineering drawings.
• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Perform test runs and first-off inspections to verify accuracy.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with CNC operators and programmers to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and production protocols.
• Document setup procedures and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Setter in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming basics.
• Familiarity with various CNC machines (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.).
• Knowledge of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Education:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field
