Cnc Programmer

• CNC Programming:

• Develop CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or manual G-code programming based on part drawings, 3D models, and work orders.
• Create and modify tool paths to ensure efficient cutting and minimize material waste.
• Optimize machine speeds, feeds, depths of cuts, and tool selection for maximum efficiency and quality.
• Simulate programs to detect errors, inefficiencies, or collisions before actual production.

• Machine Setup & Collaboration:

• Work closely with CNC machinists to set up machines, verify tool configurations, and ensure proper machine operation.
• Provide instructions to machinists for executing CNC programs, ensuring that they understand setup, tooling, and cutting strategies.
• Troubleshoot any programming or machine-related issues that arise during production.

• Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that CNC programs produce parts that meet or exceed dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements as per engineering specifications.

• Provide input on equipment and tooling purchases that could improve programming effectiveness or production capabilities.

• Documentation & Maintenance:

• Maintain an organized library of CNC programs, tool lists, setup sheets, and process documentation.
• Keep records of program revisions and modifications for future reference and troubleshooting.
• Ensure that backup copies of all programs are stored and organized.
