CNC Process Jr. Engineer I

In this role at Jabil, you will be responsible for CNC process optimization and execution, focusing on plastic components and multi-axis operations. Your essential skills should include proficiency in CNC machining, familiarity with controllers such as Fanuc and Siemens, knowledge of machine settings & optimization including tool offsets, spindle speed, and feed rate tuning. You should also be adept at on-machine probing for part alignment and in-process inspection, have experience in macro programming for custom G-code macros, and be skilled in process improvement techniques like cycle time reduction, lean manufacturing, and Kaizen. Familiarity with quality tools such as Cp/Cpk analysis, SPC, and FMEA is crucial, as well as proficiency in software like UGNX CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Minitab. Your roles and responsibilities will include leading Plastic CNC machining initiatives for high-precision components, optimizing machine settings and tool paths to achieve a 20% cycle time reduction, developing and implementing Fanuc macro programs for automated probing and tool change routines, enabling probing capability on CNC machines to reduce manual inspection time by 40%, conducting Cp/Cpk qualification for critical dimensions to ensure process stability and capability >1.33, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive Kaizen and lean projects.
