CNC Machinist (Tacchi HTL Machine Rotary Parts)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate Tacchi (HTL) machine for rotary components (Turbine/Generator parts). The role requires adherence to ISO:90001 & ISO:19443 standards, SQDC principles, and strong focus on EHS and nuclear safety culture. The candidate will ensure shift-wise production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform daily machining activities on Tacchi (HTL) machine for rotary parts.
  
• Follow site EHS procedures, perform daily risk assessments, and maintain nuclear safety awareness.
  
• Report any EHS or quality concerns and initiate stop-work if required.
  
• Perform job setup, offsets, tool setup & offsets, and precision quality measurements.
  
• Interpret machining documents: SOPs, MOPs, drawings, KSL, tool sheets, and FMEAs.
  
• Execute turning and milling operations including bearing machining, polishing, grooves, thrust faces, straddle, retaining rings, coupling faces, and Carden holes.
  
• Adjust machine parameters, feeds, and settings to optimize production.
  
• Apply TPM practices AM checklist, preventive maintenance, and Kaizen activities.
  
• Troubleshoot machining errors, cutting tools, and CNC program issues.
  
• Ensure contract workers and team members follow EHS and safe work practices.
  
• Maintain workplace discipline using lean tools (5S, TPM, Kaizen).
  
• Collaborate with operator teams and cross-functional teams to achieve uninterrupted production.

Qualifications

• ITI – Machinist OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in machining rotary parts (Turbine/Generator preferred).
  
• Strong understanding of CNC & manual programming, machining documents, and troubleshooting.
