CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the production process. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be key to ensuring production runs smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities : Machine Setup & Operation : Set up and operate machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines. Ensure that machines are properly calibrated and adjusted for optimal performance. Start and stop machines at the beginning and end of production runs. Production Monitoring : Monitor machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and producing quality output. Inspect materials, parts, or products for defects, ensuring they meet company quality standards. Make adjustments to machines as needed to maintain consistent production output. Maintenance & Troubleshooting : Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency. Identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues or malfunctions, and take corrective actions. Report any significant breakdowns or needed repairs to maintenance personnel. Quality Control : Conduct regular quality checks during production to ensure products meet specifications. Document production data and quality checks to maintain accurate records. Report any deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs) or quality issues to the supervisor. Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and operating procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Ensure all machines are in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with supervisors, maintenance teams, and other operators to meet production goals. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues promptly. Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Requirements : Education : High school diploma or equivalent (required). Experience : Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory. Skills : Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to operate and maintain machinery. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularities in production. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and production orders. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Working Conditions : Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment . Physical requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and handle machinery. Ability to work flexible hours , including night shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed. Must adhere to all safety protocols , including wearing required PPE.
