CNC Grinder Operator

As a CNC Cylindrical Grinding Operator, your primary responsibility will be to set up and operate CNC cylindrical grinding machines for internal, external, or combination grinding operations. You will be required to interpret and work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications to ensure accurate production. Monitoring grinding operations and making necessary machine adjustments to ensure precision and desired surface finish will be a crucial part of your role. You should have a good understanding of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc., to inspect and verify dimensions effectively. Routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of grinding machines will also fall under your duties. Maintaining clean and organized work areas is essential to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times. A sound knowledge of grinding principles, wheel selection, speeds, and feeds is required for this position. Additionally, you should have the ability to understand GD&T and interpret complex technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming and basic G-code/M-code knowledge would be advantageous. Having knowledge of in-process gauging systems or automated grinding cycles will be beneficial. Understanding TPM, 5S & Kaizen methodologies will be an added advantage in this role.
