CNC Bending Operator

Role Overview: You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to bend metal structural shapes according to specified angles or contours. This includes selecting and bolting holding clamps, die blocks, and guide clamps to the machine, positioning end stops, inserting plug stops to set the degree of bend, positioning the workpiece, and starting the turntable to draw the workpiece through the guide clamp around the die block. Key Responsibilities: - Select and bolt holding clamp, die block, and guide clamp to the machine - Position and clamp end stops on the machine for specified bend locations - Insert plug stops into guide wheel to set the specified degree of bend - Position workpiece against end stop and lock holding clamp and guide clamp onto it - Operate the turntable to draw the workpiece through guide clamp around the die block - Perform tasks such as heating workpiece, using hand torch or heating furnace, using hand-powered bending machine for short runs, filling tubes with sand, resin, or lead, heating tubes to manually bend them, and flaring tube ends Qualifications Required: - Experience in operating machines to bend metal structural shapes - Knowledge of setting up and adjusting machine components for bending operations - Ability to read work orders, drawings, and templates to determine bending specifications Please note that the job type is Full-time and Walk-In.
