Position: CMS Systems Architect

Location: Hyderabad, India (Need to work from Experian- Hyderabad office at least 2 to 3 days in a week from day one)

Role Overview

Were looking for a CMS Systems Architect to join our content management team and take ownership of day-to-day architecture and enablement for our enterprise headless CMS. Reporting to the manager of content strategy, you will be responsible for executing against our strategic direction by partnering directly with feature and product teams to build modular, reusable, and scalable content models. You’ll act as the primary CMS point of contact for cross-functional teams, helping them integrate CMS content with server-driven UI to create customer experiences for web and native—supporting through content modeling, troubleshooting, and implementation.

This role requires a balance of content systems thinking, hands-on architecture work, and technical fluency to collaborate closely with our CMS Tech Lead and platform teams.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product teams to design or adapt content models to meet specific experience needs while maintaining enterprise-wide reusability and scalability.
• Execute on CMS content modeling strategy set by the manager of content strategy lead.
• Build and maintain modular, structured content types aligned to server-driven UI architecture and backend service integrations.
• Create governance standards around naming conventions, version control, field usage, etc.
• Work through backlog of existing content types to ensure their compliance with new standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for teams implementing CMS content, helping troubleshoot content issues and ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate closely with the CMS tech Lead on APIs, integrations, webhooks, publishing workflows, and platform-level improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date content modeling documentation, governance guidelines, and onboarding materials.
• Help evaluate CMS platform features and integrations as they evolve.
• Provide informal CMS training and support to new stakeholders and contributors.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in content architecture, headless CMS implementation, or related digital content roles.
• Expertise with headless CMS platforms (ideally Contentstack) and structured content modeling.
• Understanding of server-driven UI architecture and how structured content maps to frontend components (experience with Apollo or GraphQL is a plus).
• Familiarity with backend service integrations, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and publishing workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for content model or integration errors.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate between content, product, design, and engineering perspectives.
• Strong documentation, governance, and systems thinking mindset.
