Job Description

Role Overview: As a CMS Consultant at Ciena, you will be reporting to the Director, Channel Sales and will be responsible for new services creation within the Ciena Partner Network (CPN) community. Your role will combine sales, technical, marketing, and product expertise to deliver support to strategic customers and account management teams. You will identify target market segments, engage relevant partners/consultants, assess the competitive landscape, and develop services and solutions to unlock new growth opportunities for the CMS service. Additionally, you will drive new CMS service development, lead business development initiatives, build key customer engagement assessments, and manage the overall Managed Service Provider growth strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Identify target market segments, quantify market opportunities, and engage relevant partners/consultants - Drive new CMS service development and lead to cash, OSS/BSS operationalization - Lead business development and thought leadership initiatives with partner executive leadership teams - Build and evaluate key customer engagement assessments and maintain strong relationships with partners - Implement best practices in business development, consulting, marketing, and sales enablement - Prioritize resources, OPEX, and market development fund investment to achieve sales growth - Develop and manage the overall Managed Service Provider growth strategy to meet or exceed order targets - Develop financial models to translate solution benefits into financial business case justification Qualifications Required: - MBA or equivalent degree - Effective communicator with executive presence and strong written/verbal/visual/video/social skills - 15+ years Partner Channel Sales Management experience targeting end user segments - Pre-existing relationships with top MSPs addressing enterprise, ICP, and DCO market segments - Experience with Service Provider/Network Operator Product Development Lifecycle - Experience in developing financial models for business case justification Additional Details of the Company: At Ciena, the company is committed to building an environment where employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
