CMMS Engineer

You are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Designer with a solid background in Research and Development (R&D) to assist the team at Wipro Limited. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, testing, and refining mechanical components and systems, bringing innovative concepts to fruition. The position requires strong analytical abilities, creative problem-solving skills, and a dedication to advancing mechanical design through research-driven insights. Your responsibilities will include developing and designing mechanical components, systems, and technical specifications. You should be familiar with the Stage Gate process for product development to ensure that design projects progress smoothly through critical phases from concept to completion, while adhering to timelines and quality standards. Proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, assembly, and drafting is essential. Experience with SolidWorks PDM Works systems for traceability and version control, generating BOMs, and handling engineering change orders (ECOs) is required. A strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application is also necessary. Moreover, hands-on experience with FEA software tools and other engineering analysis platforms is expected to evaluate structural, thermal, and fatigue aspects of designs. Knowledge of welding standards such as AWS and ISO and their integration into design and drafting processes is beneficial. Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English are essential for articulating design concepts, technical specifications, and project updates to cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaborative problem-solving. The mandatory skill for this role is CADTools, and the desired experience level is 3-5 years.
