Cloud QA Automation Engineer (Python)

As a smart automation QA engineer, you will play a crucial role in verifying and validating a large-scale distributed application within the Tarana Cloud Suite. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding the Tarana Cloud Suite architecture and gaining expertise in all the components involved - Designing, developing, and enhancing an existing python-based automation framework - Creating UI test scripts using Selenium (or equivalent tools) - Automating system, scale, and performance tests for REST APIs - Attending feature design meetings, designing comprehensive test plans, creating test cases, and executing tests - Reviewing test plans/test code written by other team members - Owning regression test areas and ensuring product quality despite code churn - Identifying defects and owning them through the resolution and verification cycle - Ensuring effective communication of project and testing status to all stakeholders - Debugging problems reported by customers and reproducing them in lab environments - Contributing to the development of tools that enhance test efficiency/management Qualifications and Skills Required: - Bachelors/Master's degree in computer science or closely related disciplines - 2 - 12 years of QA automation experience using Python on microservices-based SaaS products deployed on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP - Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design methodology - Experience in functional and system level testing of APIs (familiarity with REST API, JSON, XML) and Frontend (UI) - Experience of Selenium(or equivalent tools) for UI automation - Good understanding of QA processes and Agile methodologies - Exposure to Linux and understanding of Docker containers, VMs, etc - Knowledge of Networking concepts like switching and routing - Knowledge on ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana), Kafka, etc - Excellent debugging/analytical skills with a focus on solving problems - Experience with Jira and Confluence About the Company: Since its founding in 2009, the company has been on a mission to accelerate the pace of bringing fast and affordable internet access to the 90% of the world's households who can't get it.
