Cloud Engineer, Hybrid Cloud Delivery and Operations

As a Hybrid Cloud Engineer at Astellas Pharma Inc., based in Bangalore, India, you will be a senior-most engineer responsible for leading infrastructure initiatives and serving as a Value Team Captain. Your role involves guiding delivery team direction, resolving complex engineering issues, and ensuring technical alignment across hybrid infrastructure solutions. You will work with minimal supervision and play a leadership role within Agile Value Teams. Key Responsibilities: - Act as Value Team Captain, coordinating delivery efforts across engineers, product owners, and architects. - Lead the design and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects spanning AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. - Establish engineering standards and ensure compliance with cloud governance frameworks. - Champion DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, and policy enforcement. - Serve as a technical escalation point for critical incidents and delivery blockers. - Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal enablement strategies. - Partner with architects to shape technical roadmaps and long-term platform strategy. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - 6+ years in hybrid cloud, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines. - Strong leadership skills and prior experience guiding Agile or cross-functional teams. - Expert-level experience with AWS and Azure architecture, automation, and security models. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with infrastructure as code process and tools. - Cloud architecture certifications and multi-cloud implementation experience. - Experience working in regulated or high-compliance environments.
