Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Systems Engineer in the DevOps and Cloud Team at GlobalLogic, you will play a crucial role in managing diverse production and non-production systems globally. Your responsibilities will include provisioning, configuring, and maintaining Azure and AWS cloud resources, such as virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components, with a focus on security, availability, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on existing technologies, implement new features, and onboard third-party solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provision, configure, and maintain Azure and AWS cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components, focusing on security, availability, and scalability (IaaS, IAC, DBaaS, PaaS, & SaaS). - Engineer, manage, and optimize the installation, configuration, and tuning of cloud infrastructure components for optimal performance and efficiency. - Participate in migrating and maintaining on-premises solutions to cloud-based PaaS and SaaS offerings, ensuring seamless functionality. - Assist in setting up parallel cloud environments to mirror existing infrastructure for efficient operations and maintenance across regions. - Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to implement new features and functionality in the Databricks environment. - Perform Azure cost management by analyzing usage and leveraging Azure Advisor recommendations for optimal resource allocation. - Assist with technology upgrades, cloud systems consolidation, and cleanup initiatives for streamlined infrastructure and resource optimization. - Respond to major incidents, participate in conference calls, and support critical IT processes. - Develop and enforce policies and procedures for consistent platform provisioning, uptime, and regulatory compliance. - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for critical systems and infrastructure components. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Certifications from Microsoft are preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Strong understanding of Azure cost management and optimization. - Hands-on experience with managing AWS S3 buckets. - Expertise in troubleshooting network configurations and automation tools like Salt, Puppet, Ansible, or SCCM.,
