Cloud Developer - Python

As a Cloud Developer Lead, you will play a crucial role in assisting development teams in assessing their applications and devising a path towards cloud migration. You will be responsible for coaching development teams on best practices, architecture, and design for the cloud environment. Your duties will involve designing, coding, and delivering new rapid prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using microservices and cloud-based technologies. A strong proficiency in Python coding is essential for this role. You will actively participate in innovative projects within the hybrid cloud domain and collaborate closely with portfolio and other divisions to execute and automate product roadmaps. Being part of a cross-functional Scrum organization, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills in various areas of the cloud stack, including networks, virtualization, and orchestration/automation. Your responsibilities will also include producing development artifacts through the utilization of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) framework, acting as Level 4 support for cloud deployment and operations, and collaborating efficiently using the Atlassian toolset Jira and Confluence. Additionally, you will be involved in Proof of Concept (PoC) and Proof of Value (PoV) activities related to new vendor products. This role requires you to be a part of a new organization where DevOps is ingrained in the DNA. Your qualifications should include a background as a software developer or experience in system/virtualization for over 10 years. Deep expertise in Ansible and Python, along with familiarity with VMware products such as vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and Aria suits, is highly desirable. Knowledge of Java, Python, or other enterprise-class software languages is a plus. Understanding of Agile development, SCRUM concepts, and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket are essential for this position. You should be willing to develop your skills in various aspects of the cloud scope, including virtualization, storage & backup, hardware, and networks. Experience in working with public clouds like AWS, Azure, or GCP will be advantageous, as well as having a background in storage and backup portfolio.
