Cloud Architect

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in cloud architecture and a strong background in cloud consolidationmigrating, integrating, and optimizing multi-cloud or hybrid environments into a unified, efficient cloud ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture Design: Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments. Define cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best practices. Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure alignment with business goals. Cloud Consolidation & Optimization: Lead cloud consolidation initiatives to reduce complexity, cost, and operational overhead. Assess existing cloud environments and develop roadmaps for consolidation and modernization. Identify and eliminate redundant cloud services and streamline cloud resource usage. Governance & Compliance: Implement governance frameworks to ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards. Monitor and enforce cloud usage policies and cost controls. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT leadership, business units, and external vendors to align cloud strategies with organizational goals. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and architects. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering. Proven experience in cloud consolidation projects. Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP); multi-cloud experience preferred with mastery in one. Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls) in a cloud context. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Expertise with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of overall application architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture). Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with the following technologies: Backend: Node.js Frontend: React Mobile: Flutter, Native iOS (Swift/Objective-C), Native Android (Kotlin/Java) Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile
