Clinical Psychologist

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Conduct psychological evaluations, including structured interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized assessments.

Diagnose mental health conditions in accordance with DSM-5 criteria.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Provide psychotherapy to patients across various age groups (adolescents, adults, elderly), both inpatient and outpatient.

Support patients coping with chronic medical illnesses, pain, trauma, or terminal diagnoses.

Collaborative Care:

Work closely with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure integrated patient care.

Provide consultation services to medical staff regarding behavioral health needs and psychological aspects of care.

Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Crisis and Emergency Support:

Deliver crisis intervention and acute psychological support for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies.

Assist in suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and management of self-harming behaviors.

Patient and Family Education:

Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.

Conduct psychoeducational workshops and support groups as needed.

Administrative and Documentation:

Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Prepare reports for internal use, insurance providers, or legal entities as required.

Training and Development:

Supervise and mentor psychology interns or junior staff (if applicable).

Provide mental health training to hospital personnel to enhance patient interaction and staff well-being.

Research and Quality Improvement:

Participate in clinical research and hospital-based mental health program development.

Contribute to the design and evaluation of new psychological interventions or care protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

Masters Degree in MSc (psychology)

Relevant experience of 7+ years is required
