Job Description

Role Overview: As a Clearing and Settlement Analyst at Deutsche Bank, your main responsibility is to ensure continued service delivery and maintain a stable operating environment to support the Global Trade Services (GTS) functions. You will play a crucial role in contributing to the operational strategy of the GTS function and ensuring its effective implementation. Your focus will be on improving service delivery, enhancing productivity, and minimizing operational risks through the implementation of appropriate controls. Additionally, you will be part of the Middle Office, where you will be responsible for capturing trade/risk, managing trade life cycling on a T0 basis, and engaging with various internal teams to ensure smooth trade operations. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the Middle Office Trade Capture function, including trade life cycling for Equity and Derivatives products on a T0 basis. - Ensure timely allocation of trades, work with Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) Team for account set up/reactivations, and coordinate with Settlements team for trade matching and settlement. - Cover short positions through Stock Borrow/Lending, book borrows in the system, and ensure timely settlement to avoid penalties. - Collaborate with Traders, Sales, Brokers, and clients to accurately capture risk and remediate control breaks. - Liaise with Front Office, Docs, and Settlements to resolve exceptions promptly. - Oversee daily trade capture activities, reconcile daily, and resolve queries as needed. - Support change management, automation, and continuous improvement projects. - Streamline processes, produce MIS and control reports, and monitor and escalate exceptions to prevent financial, reputational, and regulatory escalations. - Adhere to STARC standards and procedures, demonstrating a proactive approach in all activities. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in derivatives or related products. - Strong knowledge of derivative products and trade life cycle. - Up-to-date on regulatory requirements and market changes. - Ability to resolve complex breaks independently and guide the team. - Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and effective communicator. - Team player with the ability to work across multiple locations. - Good command over the English language and effective time management skills. - Willingness to work in shifts supporting US/UK business hours and lead teams across time zones. - Self-starter with the ability to see tasks through to completion.
